I have always loved cocktails from as young as 10 I was captivated by my dad mixing colourful liquors and ice and creating an amazing drink. I wanted to be a bar tender and even got a place at a mixology school but couldn't go in the end. However, that never quelled my passion for those amazing drinks. For me, cocktails are special because they can be made from a range of different ingredients and are all made differently by every bartender in every bar. And when you find one you love it is very hard to forget it. 

My favourite has always been the classic Pina-Colada or strawberry woo woo, once I take a sip I feel transported to a tropical place and it's pure bliss. However recently I went to 'Revolution' on my sister's hen do and we got to do a masterclass and it was AMAZING!! Therefore I want to share my new favourite cocktail here for prosperity. 
Rum Bongo
Take a shot of Bacardi rum, Teichenne Coconut (but Malibu rum works as well) and a generous splash of grenadine to a Boston shaker. Add a healthy glug of passion fruit syrup and fill with ice. Shake until frothy and top up with pineapple juice. Enjoy!
It is very similar to a Pina-Colada but with more fruity flavour. It's just the best! Oh and obviously enjoy responsibly ;)
