Welcome to 2016 ✩

As the christmas trees get taken down and tinsel from frames is collected again; ready to shove in boxes in the attic to be forgotten for another year, I want to look back on 2015 and some goals I have for 2016.

I started this year with a bit of a lost friendship and hurt heart as can be clearly seen from my first post. I started this blog with the intention of helping me document my gap year before going to uni in September and gain confidence with the platform. Since then I have learnt url coding and have got a template I'm pretty happy with on my blog. I didn't join a gym but I went to quite a few fitness classes and they were so fun! I really hope I get the option to do them this year as well.
I visited my best friend in Wales which was a wonderful if somewhat slightly odd experience. I had never been to Wales and I think it brought me closer to him and I loved seeing his new friends.
I got a chance to gain some experience at an event company which, even though I was exhausted and upset after, I am so grateful i got the chance to try it out and have an experience like that. I also got to look after my nephew for 6 months last year which was lovely as well as being tiring! I have learnt a lot about myself and patience through looking after him and dealing with my sister. ;)
Although last year had some good moments, I also lost trust and faith in someone you used to be close to me. He dropped a bombshell which ripped my family apart and I spent last year recovering from shock and grieving. To say it was hard for me is an understatement, I still deal with it daily but the first 4 months of 2015 were very dark for me.
It's fair to say that last year was not my finest or best year. I got diagnosed with ME, got into a lot of debt which I'm still trying to pay off and had to leave uni and start again. However, I am hopeful this year will be better and I look forward to what the future holds. Plus the Olympics is in Rio this year!!!

Take care
x
